shimmied off its fading
beams, as the night
creeped upon the
seasons change.
Shadows danced upon the
clouds as rain soaked
the hollow, hydrating
the roots of the trees.
Perfumed memories of
yesterday’s beams lost
on the cooling breeze
as the leafs of change
fall upon my dreams.
